We continue to work with contractors and salvage crews in Alang, India during the final dismantling of this majestic historical cruise ship.
Newspaper Article: September 7, 2007 - The government told the Supreme Court that all of the required mechanisms, with regard to the decontamination of the hazardous material onboard the SS Norway, have been complied with, thus paving the way for it to be dismantled. Today (9/11/2007) the Supreme Court finally made their desicion on the faith of the beautiful oceanliner which has been lying on the beach in Alang for more than a year.

A bench of Justices granted permission for dismantling the ship on the basis of the report submitted by the technical experts committee appointed by it.

No more will we ever be able to feel the warm Caribbean breeze across her decks, no more will we be able to walk the same corridors as history made them, no more will we see the sun rise above the long majestic bow and no more will we ever be able to see one of the last great ocean palaces of the seas.

She will, from now on, only be remembered in the minds of the millions who traveled on her either as the SS France or as the SS Norway.
