THE SS UNITED STATES

The largest, fastest, most luxurious passenger liner ever built in the United States captured the Transatlantic "Blue Riband" on her maiden voyage July 3,1952 making the eastbound crossing in 3 days 10 hours 40 minutes.

This 53,000 ton racing machine had a clipper bow, sleek uncluttered lines and tall racked, red white and blue stacks. It all came together to provide a look of speed and power.

The Great Dining Room in First Class is both restful and elegant and the menu takes you around the World, from caviar from Iran, to pheasant from Scotland, from tender American steaks, to crepe suzettes from France.

In my worldwide travels, I have collected several pieces of genuine Ocean Liner memorablila and select furninshings from several cruise liners.

Due to other interests, I have decided to part with many of my treasures by offering them here on this special site I have set up for this purpose.
